Unity pleases the heart of God. Humility moves the hand of God.

It all started out in South Africa as a Day of Repentance and Prayer initiated by African leaders for African nations. Very quickly, the movement gained momentum, exceeding everybody's wildest dreams. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit, Africa invited the rest of the world to join hands with her in a global day of prayer. This will be on Pentecost Sunday every year from 2005 until 2010. For the inaugural launch in Year 2005, reportedly more than 200 million Christians representing 156 nations participated. In stadiums large or small, in open fields, at market squares, in churches and other public venues, God's people united in prayer. It was broadcast by hundreds of radio and television stations around the world.

God is on the move! In Church history, whenever God is about to do a mighty work, He sets His people a-praying.

This year, many more Christians from many more nations will be joining in the Global Day of Prayer. Singapore has officially registered its participation. Hence, we will be convening at the National Stadium, the one and only venue that is truly a national symbol of unity.

hi everyone... i'm here to complain big time about this annoying colleague of mine. you know that my shop brings in very limited pieces for each design. so if lets say a dress only has one size 0, we are not allowed to put that one and only size 0 on hold cos we need to be fair to other customers.

welll what happened today was that this dumb donkey colleague of mine, she reserved this size 0 green tube dress for a customer who reallly wanted to buy it but she couldnt buy it at present moment cos she needed her sis's isetan card in order to get the 5% discount.she said she'l come back tomorrow night. but unfortunately, this chinese tourist wanted to buy that very green tube dress like right now. so of course i let her buy it. i mean it is fair right. we are doing a business here. if someones wants it now, we let the customer pay us for it...immediate revenue. whats the pt of holding the dress for someone's sister to pay? what if the sister doesnt like it? then like that we lose the sales right? dumbass colleague. i cannot believe that she is over 40 years old. seriously, dont ever think that just because a woman is older than us, she is wiser. thats a myth.

anyway, her lack of common sense wasnt the only thing that irritated me. while i was processing the payment for my customer, this donkey called the other customer and broke the bad news. so i guess that customer over the phone was probably very upset and prob screaming into the phone cos that donkey was sooooo apologetic like, 'i'm so so so so so so sorrry. i know i know i know. i told my colleague to not let anyone try or buy it. but i dont know why she let other people try. i know i know. sorry sorryr. i'm also very upset about this. ive told my colleague abt it. but she didnt listen to me.' YES THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT SHE SAID. omggg i swear i could have thrown one of those wooden hangers into her stupid ass face. she made it seem as if it was entirely my fault when she was the dumbass who broke the rules of the company? wth. seriously, no seriously this woman ought to bury her face in the toilet bowl and flush it down. you made the mistake, gave the customer false hope, and blamed ur colleague. what you should have freaking said was, ' sorry, i'm new, i dont know that i was not supposed to hold single pieces. i'm very sorrry.' there. sweet,sincere and simple. see la, this ass made a grand total of 4 people pissed off for the day. me, the customer, my floor manager (cos the customer demanded to talk to the floor manager) and herself. whyy go through alll this rubbish when you could have easily just stuck with the rules??? thats beyond my comprehension. reallly asking for trouble.

welll let me tell you whyy she was being such a pigface abt this. cos if she holds the dress, and if the customer buys it, the sales would be recorded under her name. so obviously she didnt like it when my customer wanted to buy it at full price on the spot.

arghhh. she reallly destroyed my whole day. luckily cel and daph met me for dinner and talking to them took my mind offf her. argh.

i'm having loads of treouble getting along with my two 40 and abive years old. i do like my floor manager but i loathe the other two. they are so...ARGH. the pigface one talks to herself alll the time. muttering and uttering ALL THE TIME. it is like her mouth is constantly twitching but no sound is coming out. she should grow a bushy moustache to hide her twitchy mouth...it is v disturbing.

the other old woman is always aloof towards me cos apparently she hates people like me... maybe cos i told her i dont club, i dont smoke, my good friends also dont. so now she prob thinks i'm stuck up towards her breed of humans. which is kinda dumb. i dont understand her.

haiz sigh, what am i do to with two old foggies everyday. i hope being around them for another 1.5 months wont turn me into some mentally retarded freak. o mans. help!!!

hows everyone doing? ayee when are alll your dirivng test dates anyway so i can look forward to new drivers. heh. and once everyone has decided which course to enroll in the uni...pls share.

hahah bel youre not the only one with driving blues!i think i dont have hand-eye coordination or sth.hahaha.it seems the more i drive the worse i get now!AND!i only have 10days to my test oh nooo.i did evaluation 2days ago.i had 2 immediate failures and...hold your breath...42 demerit points!BEAT THAT!im not going to pass!-yelps and im always going over the speed limit.cos seriously.50km/h on a public road is freaking slow!so embarrassing when all the other cars zoom zoom pass you:(
ok enough of complaining.haha
yesterday steph waimay and i went back to mg to visit the teachers.we only managed to catch mrs tong cos mr yeo's at outwardbound with the sec3s.oh miss goh has left you know!shes still a teacher with mg but she stopped teaching since last yr already.shes stopped all forms of treatment so please say a little prayer for her yups.but from what mrs tong said,she seems to be holding out fine!which is really good news!
so did you guys execute your exercise plan at yong an park yesterday?hahaha.i havent exercised since sunday sighh.i'll be a fat blob next time you guys see me!haha!

post more girls! heh whoa i've been home the whole day. okay let me whine about driving again.. omg i had four immediate failures and 30demerit points in the circuit today! hahaha and i got ZERO demerit points on the road. i'm SO off-balance i know, you don't have to tell me..
and i'm falling sick too :( i'm aching all over and having a terrible headache with slight fever, sigh :(
been having plans to swim for like the past two days, but things never worked out cos the afternoon weather's always bad!
so anyway girls! are we all on for love mg?? i got a message from guan just now, there's apparently finger food served at 6.30pm tomorrow before love mg, event starts at 7.30pm. i don't suppose we wanna go for the food? haha let's meet at 7.15pm at the concourse, how does that sound? please tag if you're going!
ooh and the contractor came to my house today, i'm re-furnishing my room! my parents are gonna revamp the whole house, besides the guest room hahaha, since no one stays there anyway. whoa i can't wait, hopefully my things would be more organized from there and i'll actually have a proper study table in my room! then we can have another steamboat / movie marathon / mahjong session at my place when it's all done! okay that would be kwite a few months from now, perhaps like a gathering after we go to our separate unis? we must promise never to drift apart okay?
oh and i was watching american idol results show, i think clay aiken's by far the best! even though he wasn't crowned idol, but his voice is truly a-m-a-z-i-n-g! it's not only good, it's unique and just so clay aiken.
i'm watching lost now, it's getting so boring :( it's the so-called revelation episode and they keep replaying the snippets from the past, sigh. i think they're really running out of better substance to act. i much prefer desperate housewives now. haha anyway, i think i should be awarded the most regular blogger on this blog! hee hope to see you girls tomorrow night :):)

well this week was kinda fun for me.

Sat noon:
Da Vinci Code Movie which i thought was pretty
good. well no movie can compare to it's book.
but it was still a good movie. and the french
actress was way cute. she's that girl from Amelia
right?

Sat nite:
BEP concert was awesome! so worth my $45US.
our seats were on the floor so it was way fun.
everyone around us were dancing/ standing up
the whole time. the Pussycats dolls are so SEXY!
and they dance so hot! and they are VERY flexible.
haha.. you guys need to watch them perform.

Jeffrey walked all the way to the front and took some pictures and videos.

oh and there were these 30-something women
by the side.so they're the bootylicious kind.. big
boobs and big butt. these 2 guys, wearing gay
tight shirts and big muscles, the whole package..
were flirting with them and one woman just held

it. ahha.. and there was also this siao asian woman,
also kinda old. hair like siao like that, so long and

the railing to get on the floor! sercurity told her to go

i know it sounds kinda wild but it was just the
side i was sitting, haha. i wish it was that wild! they
do sell beer but age limit is 21 in the States.

hey girls!

i'm in a rather good mood today :) haha driving was kwite horrid though, i really suck at the stupid slope la. i stalled twice on the frickin slope! i was panicking like an idiot, like 'CRAP where does my hand go? hand brake or steering wheel. oh no release the brake or release the clutch? when do i accelerate?' wha i seriously hate slopes man. they're not my friends at all, not like the s and crank courses hee
yep and i accepted my smu offer already! i lost my application no at first, but a girl from smu called me today and i asked her what i should do and all.. she was DUPER friendly, haha actually smu's got a friendlier and more appealing environment. but anyway with doreen's advice, i shall appeal for nus pharmacy once the appeals are open in june.. if i don't get it, so be it, i'm kwite satisfied with accountancy, in fact my mum's more inclined for me to do accountancy already. if i do get it, then i'll re-consider again.
i think i haven't done this yet, but congrats steph and grace! you've done us all so proud :)
hee thanks waimay :) for making me feel good hahaha.. i told my mum what you said, about being bilingual and going into the business / finance area, and she was like 'wow your friend's got pretty good thinking skills' haha.

Hi everyone! Sounds like an eventful two weeks you all had..haha. Felt like it's been a long time since I heard from you all. Two weeks of OT attachment is over..so sad:(Im gonna miss the TTS auntie very very much. Wonder how she does it man..coming up with new sorts of nonsense and antics everyday. Haha. I think it's the only dept at TTS tt's so crazy..wonder how the physio dept will be like. Heard fr my beloved talk cock buddy that they pull long faces every day. Haha. Anyway, ANYONE KEEN FOR SHOPPING ON TUESDAY?? Heard the Great Singapore Sale is here!! But only at robinsons i think..not sure..im free till tues before physio attachment starts for another 3 weeks. That means i can always pop by the OT dept to see my ama! haha. Hope it's just half days..since it's actually more like volunteer work than attachment.Heh. HEy everone!!! it's been quite some time since i last went online haha and after waimay's scolding that it is because of people like me that will cause the blog to die, i decided not to watch Singapore idol and do this instead. Waimay: Thansk for your sincere congratulations! but i cannot claim all the credit. It was all by God's grace tha i got in cause i really felt that my interiew was quite bad...i was so nervous my voice cracked and i felt like i was going to cry eventhough the interviewers were not grilling me hahaha so embarrassing la i bet my whole face was red too! so ya i'm very thankful for that.
Well i finally signed up for my basic theory test!!!! but since i'm doing private, my test is in JULY!!! so late la i can't believe it sigh but oh well at least i can save money hee hee. Thank goodness grace was there with me to sign up. i was so lost and helpless haha that's why my mum says that i surely die if have to go overseas and study. And since i saved my parents about S$150,000 by staying in Singapore, i can go shopping ithout feeling guilty!!! YES!!!
Bel:Cheer up! 9.30am is quite a good time for a driving test right? Mosst people have to get to work by 9am so the roads would be quite empty? That's what i think but i'm not a driver hehe..not yet. And even if you should not do so well...TOUCHWOOD... take comfort in the fact that many people don't pass on their 1st attempt. My father did it twice but he is such a good driver now...always speeding along and parking without any trouble. I will pray for you too k and like what you said if it is God's will that you should pass, you will still somehow pass even if you mount the curb. Yup yup all the best then!!!
Sara: will you please stop flirting with taxi drivers? Especially at night it is extremely unsafe haha if they like you they may drive you to some ulu place and... you know la. Joking la be friendly if you want, just be careful :)

ok anw, unice, i heard da vinci code sucks. o and aye, telll me alll your plans for this coming thanksgiving holiday and next year summer holiday yea so i can let my parents know what i intend to do and so that i can plan to get my license by the time you decide to visit me. aye we should actually meet in san francisco cos gayle is studying near there. and aiyohhh unice, go check your sch website to see what system ur sch is on. if you find like you got only 2 damnn long breaks then that means ur sch is on the semester system. but if you get like 4 short holidays after each season, then u are on the quarter system.

ok everyone, grace is hilarious sometimes. after dinner with bel tuna at nydc, we were waiting at the bus stop opposite four seasons hotel, waiting for 77 to come. then grace saw this woman jogging up the stairs of the overhead bridge and she said this, ' aiyohh loook at the maid and the dog running up the stairs.' and it turned out that the woman running up the stairs wasnt even a maid. i honestly cant figure out whyy grace had to use 'the maid' instead of simply saying 'the woman'.

then when the woman and the dog ran down the stairs at the opp side of the road, grace said this, ' isnt the dog scared of running down the stairs on 4 legs cos i mean when we crawl down, we'l feel scared.' AHAHAHAHAHAHHA but i was thinking: then the dog must be wondering why humans dont feel scared of walkin down the stairs with only 2 legs. ahhaha omggg grace is so freaking hilarious!!!!

hey girls,

another piece of bad news from my end. i din get offered my first choice in nus :( good news is my decision's final, SMU ACCOUNTANCY here i come :) hee yep kwite sad that i din get my first choice, a call from nus business school woke me up in the morning to invite me for some welcome tea tomorrow and the first thought that popped in my mind was 'smu here i come' hahaha.. i walked outta the room to tell my mum and she looked abit sad. but after that she was like 'don't worry, just go wherever the Lord wants you to go, and i believe this is His will'.. i feel VERY comforted :) yep but still shattered, not only cos of this, but things have been going so wrong these two days! okay if you think in specific terms, there's really not much fuss to kick over stupid driving test time and this, BUT i think i try so hard to make my life blunder-less that each failure takes me down kwite badly. and i don't wanna live regretting that i failed my driving cos of a lousy time slot or something! heh i think i'm becoming kwite a nutcase.. please please keep me in prayer ya! and also make sure i don't end up in imh soon! heh.

i'm in a rather depressed mood cos i just keep thinking that i made a WRONG decision in booking my driving test to be at 9.15am :( SIGH BUT no point crying over spilt milk THUS i'm gonna make the best of it. and my friend just told me that he took his test at like 5.30pm and he still passed on first try! haha and he said all the slots are basically fine, it really doesn't matter.. just depends on the individual. so now, i'm just gonna do my best in my lessons, learn really well, go for more revision lessons during that time slot, get used to driving at that time, and do my best for the test :) hee.. okay enough of crap.

inez! i need kampong glam tuition SOS hahaha

hi hi hi. i'm sooooooo exhausted and i've nnooooo idea why i really don't. but every morning i wake up feeling as though i've ran a marathon or sthmg. as in S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y !!

oh anyways let me tell you about my cab driver! cos last night i met sarahchan for dinner then drinks at wala's and because wala's is enclosed and air-conditioned its very hard not to reek of smoke. anyway we only had ONE beer each and shared ONE cocktail which is really not a lot la. Uncle : actually i like to listen to live music too but i really don't like the smell
me : i don't like the smell of smoke either
Uncle : then how you close your nose ah
me : yah just cover your nose !
uncle : HOW? he turns around to see how i cover my nose
uncle : huh! like that they'll chase you out
me : where got! i do that what
uncle : huh you did that the whole night?!
me : (just to be irritating) yah i did that the whole night haha
uncle : wha now only 11 you so good girl go home so early
me : yah of cos got work tmw uncle!
uncle : oh so you always chiong la! go to zouk and all
me : no la hardly only if its for some special occasion like for my fren's birthday
uncle : oh so ur fren's birthday ah.
me: no uncle, i didn't go clubbing i just went to a bar
uncle: which bar ?
me : wala's
uncle: why never go to chijmes!

uncle : oh ! i like to go chijmes with my wife but then i really cannot stand the smoke! so i just listen to my RADIO! no choice! (HAHHAAHAH )
uncle : so are you working now or schooling ?
me : oh working part time now going to uni later in july
uncle : oh which uni nus or smu ?
me : choosing b/w nus and smu.
uncle: smu study business ah /?
me : no accountancy

uncle : oh ask her go UK. anyways she must be very rich right live in landed compound.

then reaching my condo

i kept going uncle stop stop! and he drove past me block.
uncle : oh sorry you want me to drive back ?
me : no need thanks
i look at the meter 5.2 not bad cheaper than i expected. wanted to give him 5 bucks but in the end decided you pay for teh 20 cents too so i gave him teh 2 dollar note sarah gave me. then he turned around and went
uncle : wah you're damn red lah
me: no uncle i'm not
uncle : yes you are. still say you never drink a lot
me: no uncle i got rosy cheeks ok bye!
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND when i entered my lift
i realised he only gave me 80 cents change!!!!!!!!!!!!
it cheated me of one dollar.
grrrr. even though its one measely dollar but STILLLLLLLLLl
so dishonest. he kept distracting me summore thats why i didnt check.

so thats another INTERESTING cab ride i had. I always get all kinds of weird cabbies.
i 'll never forget the one that talked to me about clubbing too and started saying how many girls don't value their virginity . that virginity is like a balloon. once popped, its gone! shhhhhhhhheeeeeeeesh.

ok bye!
i end worrk at 5 pm today hooray. got company event . gonna watch da vinci. sooooo excited. heeheeeeeeeeeheeee.

Hey everyone,

well i just had my first exam for this spring semester today.
i'll be having another one on fri and one next week... i think i need to start
studying. well i started training this week again,
after a really long break. felt so weak in the water.

oh yar, i'm thinking of ordering some stuffs from Forever 21.
go to www.forever21.com and look at it.
i don't think they have th same stuffs in singapore but i dunno.
if you see something you like, just tell me.
and it's in US dollars. i take a really long time to decide and order
so just take your time.

heya people!!!

How are all of you... haven't heard from you guys in a while... sorry i know horrible me i've been very late in posting anything up on this blog... will try.. will try, but very busy at the moment.. my finals are in like 3 weeks!!! arrgggghhhh seriously dead... dead dead dead... very stressed.

anyway juz to update you guys... my parents are coming for a week since i have a break berfore my finals.. and we are going up north to windermere... where the rolling hills of england are... ha... so while they have a holiday i gotta study... nice. and oh i may not be going to cornell anymore... long story... will tell u all when i get back... very complicated stuff...

hmm what else... oh bev have you settled on where you are going?? I got my accomodation for lse... it's high holborn!!!! yiipppeeee. only 10 mins walk from lse... but it's self catering... so yup yup guess i'll be cooking a lot... or else starving... no i think i'll pretty much survive on cereal for the nxt year...

so what's up with all of you?? has NUS released where they are posting everybody yet?? anyway gotta run... tons to do very stressed... 2 more weeks juz 2 more weeks of sch and then i go on my study break... and then... *shudder* the exams start... well pray i don't bomb out on them... you guys take care!!!

dearest mr miserable,

what is the true definition of short? would you consider the chinese basketballer yao ming short? undoubtedly, your answer would have to be "of cause not!". however, should you look from another perspective, yao ming is short in the eyes of giants. the idea of being short is very appropriately illustrated in this simple example. Being short is very much relative. hence, my conclusion is that you should not be too bothered by your height. afterall, no matter how much you brood over this issue, nothing is going to change. you will still be this short. or should i say TALL. think big, think tall, then you are TALL :) i hope my advice was of some help. please feel free to write back to me if you are still unable to address this very disturbing problem.

some random pics from mission impossible! haha it was an err-okay show. the effects at the beginning were kwite amazing [for me], but soon after moses fell asleep, wallace was dozing and doreen was fidgeting like mad, jas just kept making alot of funny noises, and i was basically well, perturbed by the people around me.. i cannot believe how inconsiderate singaporeans can get! there was this guy who was perpetually on the phone [mind you he was like at least 10 rows behind us] and i could hear him LOUD and clear! people weren't even pissed anymore, they were all giggling, probably highly amused at how loudly a guy can talk in a cinema without feeling embarrassed! and then there was this guy was shaking his leg or something and making weird noises behind me, thank goodness his friend stopped him when i turned around to stare. okay i sound like one of those 'mind your etiquette lady' aunties but ya, i think BASIC COURTESY should be observed in theatres and concerts! anyway mission impossible wasn't THAT bad, there was kwite a bit of intelligent technology! and we were watching the digital version in the digital lido theatre two, kwite kewl la huh? haha.. supposed to go swimming with doreen later, but the sky looks threatening, so the thought might be banished if the sun doesn't come out soon enough. okay can't wait to see you girls tonight! don't think i'll be joining you for dinner, i don't wanna be out too often before my mum kills me and forces me to look for a job again haha! hooray timbre timbre.. try not to be late k! cos it's really hard to get seats, especially the large tables. yippee :)
